Support and Friendship at Baby Boot Camp

Lauren getting her workout this morning...pushing two toddlers and carrying her daughter...cant imagine how many extra calories she burned. A quick little testament... One of our Trainers came to attend a class the other morning after recently having her second child and was at the end of her rope with the tantrum her son was throwing. Lauren, a Baby Boot Camp mom, without hesitation stepped in and offered for the boys to ride together which immediately ended the tantrum and kept both boys happy. This is the type of friendships and support that can be found at Baby Boot Camp.

Winner of our Holiday Challenge

I am happy to announce the winner of our Holiday Challenge! Diane B of Ft Myers has won our Holiday Challenge and we wanted to see what drives her to attend and achieve her fitness goals. Diane has two little ones; Luke is almost 3.5 years, Emmalee is almost 2 years. She started Baby Boot Camp when Luke was 5 months old and has been coming ever since. She states that "She enjoys training with different trainers and enjoys the different classes they provide. Each trainer keeps me motivated to push myself harder and come back for more. And working with each different trainer keeps my muscles confused and always working. I love the friendships I've made and the changes I see in my body and in my diet. Baby Boot Camp is so much more than a workout, it's a lifestyle. Before I started Baby Boot Camp I was really unhappy with myself. I didn't have any friends near me with children and I felt really isolated, but after I gathered the courage to take the plunge into the first class, I knew it was going to be the best thing I could ever do for myself and my family. Now, I don't feel bad about my body and the changes it's gone through with two children and one on the way. I know Baby Boot Camp is going to help me before, during and after pregnancy. My relationships have helped me be a better mother and the workouts are showing my children the importance of exercising." Diane has won entry into our Mother Love Fitness Challenge along with the 3 month membership during the challenge.

Instructor in Naples

Brandi began attending Baby Boot Camp classes in 2009 after the birth of her daughter, Ansley, and the fitness program quickly became an important part of her life. She loved that she could exercise with her daughter in a fun and welcoming environment, while creating new friendships along the way. She feels that the physical, social, and emotional benefits of Baby Boot Camp are immeasurable and have made such a difference in her life. As an instructor, Brandi hopes to share her love of fitness and exercise with other new moms and help support a happy and healthy lifestyle for her family as well as others. Brandi has an M.A./Ed.S. in counseling from FGCU and worked as an elementary school counselor for Collier County Public Schools for six years before becoming a stay at home mom. Her enthusiasm for exercise and Baby Boot Camp led Brandi to earn her personal trainer certification from AFAA this year and she is excited to begin teaching classes. She and her husband enjoy being active with their 3-year-old daughter, running, boating, paddling, and playing every chance they get! I am thrilled to have Brandi join our team. I have always known that she would make an Amazing Trainer and am very excited to see what she brings to our classes.

Outstanding MOM in November

Michelle has been chosen as our Outstanding Mom of the Month for November because she is always pushing herself. Michelle has 5 children and has been coming for the past 5 years. In 5 years her consistency is amazing; just this past month she came to 20 classes! She took on my big 14 pound pumpkin challenge and never complained; she knows that we are hear for her to get the best possible workout in and she uses that time to her advantage. She has made some great friends at Baby Boot Camp, but her main intention is to workout. Some things her Trainers have said are "Michelle pushes herself hard through exercises without giving up when she feels the burn" and "no matter what is going on in class, I look over and see Michelle doing whatever exercise I am asking them to do with perfect form. She continues to push herself with the addition of the Karna Bar. She sets a great example for new moms without being intimidating, and shows not only how great we can look after multiple babies but also how to manage being a busy mom and fitting in time for a workout." Hats off to you Michelle! You are an AMAZING and FIT woman!

October Mom of the Month!

Jen B has a son, Miller, who just turned ONE. He has been a great baby, so chill and fun. He just goes with the flow.....He loves Baby Boot Camp, watching all the moms and other kids. This was really his first "interaction" with other babies and it's been awesome. I think it's so helpful for him to see other kids his age and "socialize" a little bit with the other kids. I KICK myself that it took me so long to get to a class - but we started when Miller was 9 months old - so it's been 3 months now. I started 2 -3 days / week and now I try to fit in 5 days. It's such a great workout for me and so nice to talk to other mom's and get advice from mom's with older kids, etc. I love the structure of the class and the intensity as well. I also like trying different places - Miromar and Lakes Park classes are my regulars. All of you guys are great instructors - I needed someone to get me going and every single instructor pushes me to do more. Everyone is so friendly and easy to talk to, great group of ladies! I definitely notice more definition in my arms and legs - it's helped me tone back up after having Miller... I used to run 2 - 3 times per week and do power yoga about 2 times / week. I still run about 1 day/week....but Baby Boot Camp replaced the other days! Yoga was great for me but I find working out with Miller is better for both of us! I also used to do a lot of workout dvd's when I travelled for work - after Miller it was hard to motivate working out alone though. I've been in Florida going on 8 years now - lived in Bonita Springs the entire time down here. I work from home as a financial software consultant (kindof boring - haha.) I'm from Michigan, married for 4 years, love the beach and water and so happy to meet some great people at Baby Boot Camp!

Mom Of the Month

We are excited to announce that Jen T has won our Mom of the Month for September. She says that "since joining Baby Boot Camp in April I have noticed a lot of change in myself emotionally and physically. It has been a great stress reliever to come to class, even my husband who doubted when I joined that I would go, has noticed a change in my moods. It has shown me I can do much more physically then I thought; before joining I couldn't even do one push up. I worked out before joining Baby Boot Camp but didn't see results, since April all of my friends and family have commented on the weight I have lost and how much more toned I look. I have also noticed a big change in Sadie, she is much more outgoing now. I think being around other people has loosened her up a little. Overall, I love it and wish I had found it sooner!!

Marketing Mom

One class was all it took for me to become a Baby Bootcamp devotee. By joining, I made a commitment to myself to become the healthiest mother and role model I can for my son, and I'm well on my way! That being said, when I joined I had no idea how much a part of my life Baby Bootcamp would become. I have regained a passion for fitness and healthy living and gained a wonderful circle of friends for both myself and my child, and am excited to share my positive experience with as many others in the area as I can.

Allison has been a Baby Boot Camp member since August 2009. With the help and support of great instructors she has lost over 18 inches and gained strength and confidence over the past few years. It has been a great fit for her lifestyle of being a stay at home mom to her two girls Samantha and Abigail. Allison has lived in Florida for the past 4 years, she is originally from Columbus, Ohio. She is a proud graduate from The Ohio State University- Go Buckeyes! We are excited to have them on our TEAM and are excited about them spreading the word about Baby Boot Camp.
